August update

Approaching the end of August already! The team at Soundfirm have been busy on many features and series over the past few months and are looking forward to starting on some exciting upcoming projects.

"Killer Elite"

We have recently finished sound mixing on the much anticipated "Killer Elite" starring Robert De Niro, Jason Statham, Clive Owen and directed by Gary McKendry. "Killer Elite" will be in cinemas later this year.

"Burning Man"

Jonathan Teplitzky's "Burning Man" has recently finished sound mixing at our Fox Studios Facility. The romantic comedy starring Matthew Goode, Bojana Novakovic and Rachel Griffiths and filmed at Sydney's iconic Bondi beach is set for release later this year.

"The Flowers of War"

All of Soundfirm's facilities both in Australia and in Beijing are currently working on the sound post production for Zhang Yimou's new feature "The Flowers of War." The film stars Christian Bale and is set in 1937 at the battle of Nanjing, China.

"The 25th Reich"

Soundfirm has recently begun sound post on Stephen Amis' "The 25th Reich." The sci-fi adventure features alien space ships,  time machines, and giant blood thirsty animals  and follows 5 American GI's that find themselves traveling back in time to try win the fight against Hitler.

"Conspiracy 365"

Soundfirm is about to commence sound post on the new 12 part TV series "Conspiracy 365." Based on the best selling novels by Gabrielle Lord and produced by Circa Entertainment for the Movie Networks Family Channel. We are excited to be involved with this high energy series.

"Dance Academy series 2"

Sound post continues on series 2 of the highly acclaimed "Dance Academy". After the success of series 1 we are looking forward to the release of this new series.

"Lighting Point"

Sound post continues on the new and upcoming children's series from Jonathan M. Shiff .


The Eye of the Storm wins at MIFF '11

Congratulations to Fred Schepisi on his feature "The Eye of the Storm" for picking up The Age Critics Award at the Melbourne International Film Festival this year. The film is an adaptation of Patrick White's Nobel Prize winning 1973 novel and is the first successful film of a White novel. Schepisi's film featuring an extremely sought after cast including Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling and Judy Davies is a visual gem and Schepisi's first Australian feature since 1988. "The Eye of the Storm" opens nationally on the 15th September 2011.


Red Dog tops the box office!

Soundfirm would like to say a huge congratulations to Kriv Stenders and Nelson Woss for an outstanding first week at the box office. Reg Dog is now the highest grossing Australian film of 2011! Soundfirm was thrilled to be a part of this heartfelt outback tale. Well done Koko!
